    There has been an increase in the number of students seeking admission to B.Ed course following the decision of Government of Karnataka to make B.Ed degree mandatory for employment in High schools and Pre University colleges. To meet this demand and to help rural students to acquire B.Ed degree the Management of LDKME Society decided to start “ Sree Kongadiyappa College of Education” offering B.ED. Course in its premises and hence applied for permission to start B.Ed course from various concern authorities as detailed below.

    We are waiting for the formal approval by the NCTE. As per the norms of NCTE the management has given a local advertisement and has identified 15 teaching staff & 04 non teaching staff for appointment.

    Admissions are likely to commence from 2016. As in the case of other group of Institutions run by our Society, Sree Kongadiyappa College of Education has an excellent Infrastructure with Class rooms, Seminar hall, a good multipurpose hall, Yoga, adequate Play ground, Music, Arts and crafts and furnished laboratories.

    The college is having experienced well qualified dedicated staff members. The group of Institutions run by LDKME Society has a good reputation in the field of Education and are rated one of the best Institutions by the concerned affiliating authorities. The Management of our Society is putting all efforts to see Sree Kongadiyappa College of Education which offers B.Ed. course will be one of the best Colleges in the State.

The management of the well known and reputed educational society - LDKMES ® Started M-Sc Mathematics and M-Com courses nearly a decade ago . Right from the beginning of these courses the management provided excellent infrastructure in terms of a well maintained fully computerized library, A well equipped computer laboratory with internet connection, spacious class rooms and a huge sports ground with all sports facilities. above all the two courses are being taught by highly qualified, experienced and efficient staff. The serene and quite atmosphere is ideally suited for students to pursue higher education here. All these factors have contributed in students getting distinction in both courses all these years. In fact during the last two years all students of M-Sc and M-Com got distinctions in there respective exams. Not just these all students who passed out from this collage have been well employed in various fields especially in the academic field so much so education institutions and companies look forward to our college for their employment needs and are in constant touch with our college for this purpose. The college has a student welfare cum employment officer who guides the students to find good jobs.

The degree college started in the year 1973 offers professional courses of Science, Arts and Commerce in the under-graduate (B.Com, B.Sc and B.A) and post graduate levels (M.Sc (Mathematics) and M.Com). New combinations of subjects such as Computer Science, Optional English and Journalism were introduced. This college is affiliated to Bangalore University.

The college is strategically situated in the National Highway (NH)207 to Doddaballapur. Accessibility from Bangalore to this college (a distance of 40 Kms.) is very convenient as the frequency of availability of buses from Mysore Bank Circle, Bangalore is very high. The college is half an hour's distance from bangalore International airport. Additionally, the institutuion is in proximity to Muddenahalli, birth place of Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah and Nandi Hills(20 Kms).
